Let’s just begin by saying that attraction marketing is not about making your list of friends and family, and chasing them down trying to sell them your product, service, or opportunity.
It’s not passing out flyers, business cards, and brochures. It’s not begging people to come to home meetings, or insisting you pick them up to go to hotel meetings. It’s actually the opposite of all that.
Wow, what a relief, right?! If you’ve ever done any of those things, or you’re doing them now, you can surely relate.
Attraction marketing is really just about giving people value, and giving it at no cost to them. By offering people helpful information that they can benefit from, they will be attracted to you, and they will be interested in hearing more from you, if you continue offering information with value.
This has become the newest model of marketing, but actually, it’s really not that new. Mike Dillard of Magnetic Sponsoring, and Ann Sieg of The Renegade Network Marketer both discovered these concepts, at about the same time several years ago, and both have since helped countless people grow their businesses by teaching these principles.
Personal Branding
Personal branding is really just branding yourself, by letting people see who you are, and what kind of a person you really are.
They will feel as though they are getting to know you and will come to trust you and like you because you’ve offered them value and have given them a glimpse into you and your life. This can be done with video, or just pictures even, along with email messages that they’ve asked to receive.
Implementing Attraction Marketing into Your Business
Marketing is sales and attraction marketing is no different. What is different is what you’re selling. With attraction marketing, what you’re selling is yourself, not your product, service, or opportunity. In fact, these should never even come up until a relationship has been built and trust has been established.
The goal is to position yourself as an expert by providing valuable free information and being a solutions provider. By doing this, your prospects will be coming to you rather than you chasing after them.
You’re marketing yourself instead of your business. Talk to them as if you’re friends, and offer them information or knowledge that you have that will help them ease a pain or solve a problem.
Thanks to the internet, the possibilities for prospects for your business are nearly endless.
Think about what the internet is used for ~ there is a constant flow of people searching for information ~ solutions to their problems, answers to their questions, ways to simplify their lives, ways to improve their lives, ways to improve their finances, you name it, they are out there looking!
And when you show up on their search, (because of your attraction marketing methods), offering information and/or a solution about what they’re looking for, what you now have is a targeted prospect. They will come to you for more information and will give you permission to talk to them, by way of your autoresponder.
By providing value, you will be generating leads and building a list, who you’ll keep in touch with and continue providing value to. You’ll be building a relationship with your prospects and they will look to you for guidance, and you’ll be able to recommend your primary program to them, (but they may ask you about it first!).
They’ll take a serious look at it because by now they feel that they know you and trust you. Once you have someone’s trust, it’s quite likely that that person will listen to you and probably follow you into any program that you promote.
